Fashionably Punk Styles

Many teens and young adults are into the punk fashion style. These kids are in that independent and often rebellious stage where they want to show their creativity through the clothes that they wear. In some cases this is a fashion choice that is based on the fact that they know that their parents will HATE it!  Regardless of the reason for the choice to dress punk, this style continues to be nery popular.

Dressing punk gives you many options to use your creativity. You can mix and match (or not match if that's your choice) just about anything to create a punk style that is unique for you. The versatility allows you to add our own special touch to create a style of your own.

Trends in punk fashion are constantly changing, but there are many things that have stayed the same over the years. Band T-shirts, studded belts or jewelery, high top tennis shoes like Converse, and of course the punk hairstyles have remained standard in the punk fashion world for many years.

There are several notable designers that are stand-outs in the world of punk fashion. These include fashion designers Betsey Johnson, Vivienne Westwood, and Jean Paul Gaultier. These designers often use punk styles in their designer fashions. Many magazines and other media outlets spotlight punk fashion and hairstyles in their works.

So whether you want to mix leather and lace, or skulls and hearts, the punk style will give you the freedom to do just that without the fear of being judged by your peers. But don't expect everyone to understand your need for uniqueness and creativity. You can expect to get some weird looks from people who just don't get what you are trying to achieve in choosing to dress this way. But that's okay, do what makes you comfortable and let others think what they want.
